United Nations Association
The United Nations Association of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UNA-UK) is the UK's leading independent policy authority on the United Nations. We are the Chichester and District Branch, with members in Chichester, Portsmouth, Havant, Petersfield, Midhurst, Arundel, Littlehampton, Bognor Regis, Selsey and all the areas in between. Have a look at our branch map.

We are a non-party political organisation. Our Head Office is in London, which provides policy expertise and maintains an ongoing dialogue with our UK government ministers, parliamentarians and the media on issues relating to the UN.

UNA-UK promotes multilateralism and adherence to international law through four policy programmes:
  • The Millennium Development Goals & sustainable development
  • Peace and security
  • Human rights and humanitarian action
  • Reform of the United Nations structure
We regularly arrange public events in Chichester, promoting the UNA's four policy programmes. We also have flag days around the area collecting money for UNICEF and UNA Trust. Our future events are listed below.

Further details of all our events can be obtained from Viv Williams, Chaiman. His telephone number is 01243 378353, alternatively you can send him a message here.

UNA-UK members receive regular updates about our activities and campaigns, as well as invitations to branch, regional and national events. All members receive our magazine, New World, published three times a year. Join today to become part of the UK's leading peoples' movement in support of a strengthened and reformed UN at the centre of international affairs.

One World Week "Hungry for One World"
1

One World Week is an opportunity for people from diverse backgrounds to come together to learn about global justice, to spread that learning and to use it to take action for justice locally and globally.

OWW is here to help you:
  • cross boundaries and build relationships of mutual respect
  • work in solidarity with others from diverse backgrounds
  • come together to learn about global justice
  • spread that learning and use it to challenge: inequality, discrimination and degradation of the Earth and its resources
  • Organise local events that celebrate the diversity of cultures in our communities

Find out more about the one world vision here.
